A TikTok user has shared a video of how an apartment he recently rented turned into a mini beach after a heavy rainfall.
The young man expressed his dissatisfaction with his apartment getting flooded after a heavy downpour. According to him, the poor structural flaws in the building made the unfortunate happen to him.
He also advised avoiding renting a residence on the island owing to reported regular floods.
He said: “All this house wey you Dey see na nonsense. If you rent am you rent problem. Structural error. Welcome to Island.”
Netizens have responded to the video with some referring to the flooded apartment as an indoor swimming pool.

The reason I remain put on the mainland is this. Lagos Island and lekki axis is too worrisome for me especially with the flooding
The fult is from you because you suppose investigate the place before paying money to them so it’s a petty
That is why you need to look well before you rent an apartment,ask,inquire first,probably go for the apartment during wet season,it will enable you to know a water log areas so that you can select the best
This man is at fault he suppose to know before getting apartment at island that anything any moment flood can come in and then the structure of the house may not be in the right place
