”This was all I got, after 4.99/5.0 not even 5 naira” – Man disappointed over award he received from Nigerian university after graduating with 4.99 CGPA

A Nigerian man has registered his disappointment over what his school gave him after he emerged as the overall best-graduating student.

The man known as Olawale finished his studies at the Air Force Institute of Technology in the 2021/2022 academic year and achieved a 4.99/5.0 CGPA, however, he was only given two plaques for the accomplishment.

Olawale lamented over the fact that all he had been given for graduating with such high CGPA was just the plaques, without a single naira attached to it.

The school had celebrated him by sharing a jersey the school had made which carried his CGPA on it.

While his university had disappointed him, he still gained a full scholarship to continue his studies at Boston University.

He wrote …

“Bro!!! this was all I got, after 4.99/5.0 not even 5 naira. People come spread rumour join say Chief of Air Staff give me money.

I just see say people dey see me for road they think say this boy get money ooo. But you no what BOSTON UNIVERSITY said hold my beer. Come baby boy on a full ride.”

  1. Ok but I don’t understand why is so why please tell me about it ok
But there is something we needs to find out,for those who has won this same price before,do they give them money?because if its not in their tradition that those who emerge as the best graduating students gets some money, then you don’t have to blame them how is that possible in the country I don’t understand why
