Senator Sharafadeen Alli Raises Alarm over Fraudulent Activities in His Name

Oyo State, Nigeria – Senator Sharafadeen Alli, a member of the National Assembly representing the Oyo South senatorial district, has expressed concern over the activities of individuals using his name to defraud the public. The senator, who is affiliated with the All Progressives Congress (APC), made this known in a statement issued on Sunday by his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas.

Senator Alli drew attention to the fraudulent practices of some scammers who have been extorting money from unsuspecting members of the public, falsely claiming to be acting on his behalf. In light of this, he urged his constituents to remain vigilant and not fall victim to such fraudulent schemes.

Furthermore, the former secretary to the Oyo state government cautioned the public to be cautious of anyone purporting to represent him in any capacity linked to empowerment activities. He clarified that he is not involved in any such endeavors and has not authorized anyone to collect money on his behalf for such purposes.

“It has come to our attention that someone has been using the name of our Principal, Sen Sharafadeen Alli, to defraud people on the pretext of providing empowerment opportunities,” stated Abas. “Please be informed that Sen Sharafadeen Alli is not involved in any such activities and has not authorized anyone to demand money on his behalf for such purposes.”

The statement concluded with a strong advisory for the public to exercise caution and skepticism towards individuals claiming to represent Senator Alli in any empowerment-related capacities. It is crucial to verify the legitimacy of such claims to avoid falling victim to fraudulent schemes.

As the senator remains committed to serving the people of Oyo South senatorial district, this cautionary announcement serves as a reminder to residents to be vigilant against fraud and protect themselves from unscrupulous individuals seeking to exploit them under false pretenses.
